A rare ivory netsuke of a mountain god. 19th century

The composite long-haired creature with the body of a snake stands in a S-curve on scaly legs with hooves. The scaly arms end in three-clawed hands and flames emanate from the joints. The humanoid head with open mouth and a third eye is all the more fierce for the bearded cheeks and the two curved horns. With claw-like hands it appears to be scratching itself. The eye pupils of black glass. There are no actual himotôshi.
