A wood and maki-e lacquer two-part manjû with a monk by a tea grinder, by Shôryûsai. Around 1800
The monk, who by his appearance might also be a Hotei, has fallen asleep in front of a tea grinder with the handle still tight in his hand. On the reverse a natsume, teaspoon and a pine sapling. Inlays of a lead-coloured material and small details of aogai. Signed to the inside Shôryûsai.
