A marine ivory netsuke of three shôjô in a boat, by Seizan. Second half 19th century

One shôjô with a sake cup, one pulling a rope and one at the bow, the towboat loaded with two large sake barrels and a sake storage jar. At the bow an inlaid mother-of-pearl tablet probably to hide a flaw in the material. Signed Seizan.
