One side with a large shell decorated to the inside with a swallow inlaid in shakukô above waves and beneath pine branches entwined by wisteria in gold takamaki-e and hiramaki-e, the clouds with hirame, to the reverse a shell seen from the outside, the compartments each decorated with various textile patterns in hiramaki-e and aogai inlays. Nashiji to the inside. Signed Jôkasai.
