A fine kagamibuta of Matabei and oni nenbutsu, by Hômin. Mid-19th century

The disc of shibuichi with the painter Matabei seated with a brush in his hand in katabori engraving, in front of him a large oni nenbutsu comes to life from a painting in iro-e takazôgan. The bowl of ivory, carved on the reverse with a scroll of paper, a brush, suzuri and a feather fan. The disc signed Hômin.
