An interesting and rare reticulated silver fish, probably a carp. Late 19th century
The scaly body consists of nine hinged elements with a reticulated back fin, the head functions as a lid to a small compartment, in the mouth a gilded pearl with an eyelet for a cord. The eye pupils of facetted bluish glass.
