PIETÀ

Wood carved in the round with probably original polychromy, the area around the Virgin's garments and the rocks reworked. The Virgin in a long brown dress, sitting on a rock, Christ in her lap. The overall design and in particular the elaborately falling hair of the Virgin carefully executed. Christ loosely attached, vertical cracks to lower part, reverse with rupture. Height 34 cm.
