Gouache, watercolour and ink brush on chamois-coloured light card 29 x 23 cm (30.8 x 24.5 cm), framed under glass. Signed 'BORTNYIK' in ink and dated '1920' in pencil lower left, lower right below the composition numbered '146' (crossed out). - Reverse with small jagged paper label, thereon in Hungarian, possibly by another hand, the artist's name, year (with question mark), dimensions, title "The sun has fallen between the houses" and number "146", all in pen. - The left corners with pinholes and small creases, reverse of card painted over in black.
