Oil on canvas, mounted on wood. 21 x 34 cm.

Inscribed to the pillar "10 / IIII" (John 4:10) and dated to the well: 1541.
Based on a copper engraving by Hans Sebald Beham (see: F. W. H. Hollstein: German engravings, etchings and woodcuts ca. 1400-1700, vol. III (H. S. Beham), Amsterdam 1954, pg. 24).
