Fine vertical cracks. Mounted to a newer wooden plinth. Height 50 cm (without plinth)..

A late 14th century Rhenish oak wood figure of a Bishop-Saint, carved in full round, small remains of polychromy. Standing full-figure, designed for a frontal viewpoint, the right foot in contrapposto. The bishop wears a mitra with infula and a stola, the under-garment falling to the floor in vertical folds and contrasting with the drapery of the mantle. The hands holding a book and crozier, later additions.
Fine vertical cracks, mounted on a new wooden plinth. Height 50 cm (without plinth).
