A terracotta portrait medallion of a man. A finely worked high-relief portrait bust of a man wearing a jacket, pleated shirt and a fashionable braid, depicted in profile facing left. The underside of the bust signed and dated "G(.) Angelini October 21, 178(.) faciebat." The sculptor and archaeologist Giuseppe Angelini was active in Naples, Rome, Paris and London and was appointed sculptor for Saint Peter's Basilica by Pope Pius VII.
