Pen and ink drawing on smooth wove paper 13.5 x 22.7 (25 x 33.5 cm), framed under glass. Monogrammed 'WH.' in pencil lower right and inscribed 'Skizze zu dem Bild "Vor dem Regen" (Sketch for the picture 'Before the Rain') below the composition, outlined in pencil. - Inscribed "Skizze zu Ölbild 'Vor dem Regen' 1951" (Sketch for the oil painting 'Before the Rain' 1951) on the frame cardboard by Eberhard Seel and with the collection annotation. - Browned with light-stain, the margins with 2 tiny holes.
