A large Augsburg silver travel service in a fitted casket. Marks of Christian Winter and Georg Friebel, 1701 - 05. Großes Reiseservice im Koffer

Comprising: A helmet-form pitcher and bowl, a pair of candlesticks, one large and one small ecuelle with covers, a round tray on a tapering foot, two glass bottles and two ruby glass bottles with vermeil mountings, a candle-snuffer set, two large lockable boxes, two boxes on stands, four small boxes, a hairbrush, a brush, a table bell, a funnel, a plate, a beaker and cover (the lid of which also functions as a salt), and a three piece cutlery set. In the original red leather covered velvet lined coffer, with forged iron fittings and handles. The casket's height 35; length 72; width 55 cm, total weight of silver ca. 7700 g.
