Richard Karlovich Zommer

The Russian painter Richard Zommer studied at the academy in St. Petersburg from 1884 to 1893. After this he worked in Central Asia in the years after 1900, and then in Georgia and Armenia as of 1912, which lent his landscape and genre scenes an ethnographical character. We have receieved spoken confirmation of the work's authenticity as a painting by Richard Zommer from Dr. Olga Sugrobova-Roth (Düsseldorf), who has seen the original.
