An Asakusa type ivory ryûsa manjû of Buddhist objects. Second half 19th century

Carved in openwork with a rain dragon rising from a mokugyo, a hossu, a nyoi sceptre, an alms bowl, all amidst scrolls, kiri leaves on the edges, on the reverse a central lotus and leafy scroll.
