South German 1st half 17th century

A South German bronze figure of Eve (?), 1st half 17th century

Cast in the round, older patina. A figure of a nude woman standing in contrapposto and facing slightly to the right. She holds her head slightly bowed and her left arm upraised. The pose indicates that the figure may depict Eve beneath the tree of knowledge.
Mounted on a modern marble sockle. Height 12.5 cm (without sockle).
