Falko Marx (Cologne 1941 - ibid. 2012), 1975.

The contemporary jeweller and goldsmith Falko Marx was taught at the "Kölner Werkschulen" and apprenticed with Elisabeth Treskow, who taught him goldsmithing techniques used in antiquity. Whilst searching for a contemporary aesthetic, Marx created his own unique style through a fascinating mix of old and new. "The water ring which also features gold leaf, gold and platinum dust as well as precious gems, is his most revolutionary translation of kinetics in jewelry." (cit. from the German by Gerhard Dietrich, p. 8/9.).
