Slightly yellowed, a crease to the upper edge, minor fox marks.
The present work is a sketched design of a sentinel which Spitzweg used later in his painting "Die Schildwache" (S. Wichmann: Carl Spitzweg, 2002, S. 417, Nr. 1013) around 1850.
