Designed as a trompe l'oeil envelope addressed to "The Post Master General, General Post Office, St. Martin-le-Grand" with an enamelled stamp. The cover opens when the silver-plated pencil holder is pulled out. The back cover of leather-lined card. L 19.5; W 11.5 cm, weight 382 g.
