An ivory netsuke of Fukurokuju with a karako, by Tomochika. Second half 19th century

Standing with a cloth placed over his large cranium and holding staff and scroll, the karako to his side shouldering the god’s Chinese-type fan, the robes of both with very fine incised scroll patterns. Signed Tomochika.
