Portrait of Emperor Charles VI

Oil on panel, mounted on hardboard. 80 x 64.5 cm.

This half-length portrait is based on the full-figure depiction of Emperor Charles VI painted by Johann Gottfried Auerbach in circa 1730. The original is kept in Belvedere Castle in Vienna, together with the pendant showing his wife Elisabeth Christine of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel.
