A Berlin KPM porcelain krater form vase with views of Potsdam.

The bowl and base connected via a bronze rosette form screw mounting. The shoulders and socle with gilt tendril decor on a cream ground, the base and handles gilt and finely etched. Two rectangular fields containing a labelled view of the royal palace and town hall of Potsdam and a panoramic view of the city as seen from Brauhausberg. Blue sceptre mark, red imperial eagle mark, red planet mark. A shallow chip to the top of the base, a chip to the underside of the rim. H 57.5 cm.

According to an entry in the "Conto Buch Sr: Majestät des Königs" from 1st July 1825, this vase was a present for General Duchess von Haack in Magdeburg. Her deceased husband Georg Gustav Leopold Graf von Haack was Prussian General Lieutenant and Commander of the city and fortress of Magdeburg.
