Impressed sceptre mark over KPM, impressed letter H. Signed and dated in black to the reverse "H. Litfas, 1852". 25.5 x 31.8 cm.

This vase shows Friedrich Drake's monument to Frederick William III in the southern part of the Tiergarten in Berlin. The monument was inaugrated on 3rd August 1849 as a gesture of thanks on the part of the citizens of this city for the improvements to the Tiergarten park initiated by the King. The work was financed entirely through donations from the grateful populace.
