An 18k gold ring with an Imperial Roman intaglio.

A green plasma (ca. 10 x 8 mm) carved with a bull beneath a tree close collet set with ropetwist detail, open work love knot schoulders and double wire shank. Attached a modern silver cast of the gem. Roman assay mark of 1778 - 99 with indistinct year. Ring size 55. Weight 5.2 g. Cast: ca. 10 x 13 mm, weight 3.6 g.
