Provenance

According to a written confirmation by Dr. jur. Peter Volz, Heidelberg, the cameo originally belonged to the collection of Duke Bernhard of Saxony-Meiningen and Hildburghausen (Meiningen 1851 - 1928); Dr. Richard Gaettens collection, Halle; Private collection, South Germany.
