A late Gothic damask and silk chasuble with an applied embroidered cross band.

With partially replaced losses to the fabric, the underdrawings visible in some of the face. The silk torn and partially sewn shut. H of recto 109, W 60, H of verso 115, W 66 cm (incl. frame 125 x 76 and 132 x82 cm).
The base fabric probably Spanish, 16th C., the chasuble probably Italian, 18th C., the embroidery probably Flemish / Southern Netherlandish, early 16th C.
