A maiolica bowl in the manner of Bernard Palissy.

With "grand feu" and mixed decor. The centre with a relief depiction of a bacchanalia with child-like bacchantes and a panther in a landscape with ruins. A crack to the top, several chips to the moulded foliate edging. H 5.7, diameter 24.5 cm.
Probably Fontainebleau, mid 17th C.
