Bronze Height 29.8 cm. Mounted on wooden base (5 x 17.7 x 18 cm) Signed 'Seitz' on the neck lower left, verso on lower edge with foundry mark "GUSS BARTH RINTELN". One of 2 casts in total. Posthumous cast. - Dark brown patina. - The bronze's neck in the round, the head approx. from the hairline onwards open. Minor traces of oxidation.

The person depicted here is Elke Struckmann who studied at Hamburg Hochschule für Bildende Künste. Gustav Seitz taught there since 1958. In the same year, he portrayed her a second time in a terracotta sculpture (Grohn 377)
