Aikuchi. 20th century; koshirae. 19th century

Aikuchi, blade length 18.9 cm, unokubi-zukuri, notare hamon, very dense mokume hada, nakago: ubu, one mekugi-ana, mei: Kiyohira (= Miyairi Kiyomune, 1941-1977). Shirasaya with two seperate habaki of silver with yasurime. Very good state of polish. NTHK Papers, dated 15.12.2013. 20th century. Silk bag.

Koshirae: complete aikuchi-koshirae with fuchi-kashira, koiguchi, kurigata and kojiri of silver, engraved with tendrils and leaves; menuki: silver dragonfly; kozuka: shibuichi with blossoming plum in flat inlay of silver and gold; brown binding over same, saya: black ishime surface lacquer with dragonfly and clouds in black roiro. Tsunagi. 19th century. Brocade bag.
