A large shallow cloisonné dish of saucer shape displaying in split wires a central peony blossom surrounded by flying phoenixes, peony sprays, and smaller magnolia, chrysanthemum and other flowering branches along the rim, lotus and leafy scrolls to the outside, all on a medium blue ground. Minor losses to the enamels due to age. Ming dynasty.
