A Berlin KPM porcelain platter made for Grand Prince Nicholas. Painted with the Madonna and Child with John the Baptist to the centre and with etched cherub's heads and pairs of doves to the gilt rim. Blue sceptre mark, painter's marks, pressnummer 16. The reverse with a label from the Leningrad City Museum in the Anitschkow-Palais with the inventory no. 7577. Diameter 24.5 cm.
Before 1823.

This plate was kept in the collection of the Museum in the Anitschkow-Palais until its sale by Lepke. It probably belonged to the dinner service which King Frederick William III of Prussia gave as a gift to his daughter Charlotte on occasion of her marriage to Grand Prince Nicholas of Russia.
