Literature

A further example in the porcelain collection in Dresden (cat. Porzellan Parforce, Munich 2005, no. 36). Kaendler's records for 1740 list the first life size pair of partridges, this smaller example was probably modelled around the same time.
Cf. Rückert, Munich 1966, no. 1141 f., an identical bird with a pendant in the former Dr. Ernst Schneider collection
Cf. Röbbig, Kabinettstücke, Munich 2006, no. 45, an example mounted in bronze.
