Jules Debois

A terracotta group of a satyr and a nymph.

Worked in the round.. A lively depiction of a satyr capturing a nymph in a net upon a block-like socle moulded as rocks overgrown with reeds, designed to be viewed in the round. Signed and dated to the reverse by the French artist, "DESBOIS. 1886".
In perfect condition. Height 71 cm.
