A plate inscribed "struggle gives birth to heroes"

A shallow plate decorated to the centre with a red army soldier, dated 1918 and 1923. Blue enamel hammer and sickle mark, inscribed "1923 artist M.M. Adamovich made by A.T." D 24 cm.

The plate was made in conjuction with the fifth anniversary of the October Revolution. The monumental red army soldier is depicted before the monogram RSFSR with the Tsarist attributes of crown, double-headed eagle flag and an ermine coat lying at his feet.
