Literature

Cf. Kugel, Joyaux Renaissance, Paris 2000, p. 151 for a similar floral brooch with a ladybird. Kugel lists three further examples in the Patrimonio Nacional in Spain (inv. no. 00635706), the Museo Regionale Pepoli in Sicily (inv. no. 5478) and in a Venetian private collection. The latter published in: Rossi, Oreficeria Italiana, Milan 1974, pl. 83.
