Bronze Height 29.2 cm. Mounted on brown-marbled stone base (8 x 12.8 x 12 cm) Monogrammed 'GK' on the rear right shoulder. Life-time cast from the mid 1920s. According to Berger, one can assume an edition of at least 3 casts. - Medium brown patina.
According to Ursel Berger, the sitter is a Chinese acrobat whose performances Kolbe had seen and whose soft facial features had obviously impressed him. The young Chinese man's long pigtail is artistically draped around his neck.
