A Sinotibetan gilt bronze figure of Tsongkhapa. 18th century

A Sinotibetan gilt bronze figure of Tsongkhapa, seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with his hands in dharmachakra mudra, with lotus stems rising at both shoulders supporting the sword of knowledge and the book of wisdom. He is clad in heavy robes with incised hems and his head is topped with a cap. One lotus loose. Base sealed. 18th century.
