Two 14k gold Kneipp souvenir medallions

With monogramm appliques. Containing framed and hand-coloured photographs of Sebastain Kneipp and locks of hair. In the original velvet covered cases stamped "Moritz Hübner Kohlmarkt Nr. 26 Wien". Stamped Vienna fineness and control mark for 1867 - 1872. H 2.1 cm. Weight each 13.5 g.

The Bavarian priest and hydrotherapist Sebastian Kneipp (1821 - 1897) developed a new form of natural curative method named the "Kneipp-Kur", and with it put Wörishofen on the map as a spa town.
