With floral inlays in coloured tortoiseshell; ormolu mountings; 14-day movement with verge escapement, thread suspension and half-hourly striking to a bell. Signed to the back of the dial and the plate "Joseph Baronneau à Paris." Stamped "A. Gosselin" to the case. H 122 cm.
The movement Joseph Baronneau, ca. 1700, subsequently transplanted into a later case made by Adrien-Antoine Gosselin, ca. 1772.
