A Limoges enamel panel with Christ at the column

Polychrome enamel on a slightly arched copper panel, transluscent enamel over silver foil, the flesh tones in relief, gilding, reddish brown or transluscent counter enamel. A rectangular panel with four figures in an architectural setting, the background with a garden landscape and night sky. Restored and with additions to the edges, in a later gilt metal frame mounted on a velvet-covered support. Panel ca. H 11.5, W 9.5 cm, H of frame 17.8, W 15.6 cm.
