This toilette service was a wedding gift at the marriage of Count Franz Beissel v. Gymnich (1798-1863) to Marie Therese Baroness v. Fürstenberg-Neheim (1800-1850) in 1829. On this occasion, parts of an existing toilette garniture were supplemented with works by a - presumably Rhenish - master.

Provenance

Formerly in the possession of the Counts of Beissel von Gymnich, hence by descent.
