An Augsburg silver wine decanter made for the Princes of Thurn and Taxis

Interior gilt. Vase-form body with tall handle and hinged lid. Decorated with finely chased bay foliage and lancets, engraved to the display side with the family coat of arms of Thurn und Taxis with an ermine cloak and princely crown. H 33 cm, weight 1,056 g.
Marks of Johann Jakob Hermann Grabe, 1789 - 91.
