An 18th century Flemish carved ivory Corpus Christi

Carved in the round.. A depiction of Christ in the three-nail type. The quality of the work is particularly exemplified in the fine depiction of Christ's features and anatomy, the openwork crown of thorns, and the fine drapery of the perizonium.
The left arm loosely attached with a peg. Hairline cracks. Wear with losses to the crown of thorns, the reverse yellowed. Height 37 cm, width of arms 27 cm.
