Pencil drawing on smooth, thin paper with rounded corners on the right side 20.7 x 15.9 cm Framed under glass. Unsigned. Black estate stamp "Nr. 33 [the number in black ink] aus dem Nachlass von Fräulein Lise Gujer, Davos-Sertig 13.3.1967" verso lower right. Titled and dated "Stehende Frau und nähendes Mädchen Um 1920" by Florian Karsch in pencil lower centre. - The paper slightly browned and minor traces of age, folds to lower corners.
According to Gerd Presler, the present work is a sketchbook sheet dating from Kirchner's early years in Davos. The artist probably depicted a scene from the social life of the Swiss resort with get-togethers in large hotels and sanatoriums for 'Tango Tea', for chess matches or for musical events.
