"Tokyo's cityscape, similarly to that of Naples, is characterised by contrasts: old and new, large and small clash relatively abruptly. Thus, in the Tokyo pictures, an important endeavour seemed to be less the individual house but the location depicting architecture's complexity and blur in a manner that expresses as many specifics and characteristics as possible on the one hand and evokes as little false stereotyped ideas on the other hand."
