A bronze figure of a palace lady seated with legs pendant on a square stool, the right hand in her lap, the left hand in a mudra-like gesture, wearing a cloud-shaped collar and no ornaments in her hair. Song dynasty.
Height 24.4 cm

The lady is difficult to identify. Although the hands are held mudra-like, there are no further indications of her being a Daoist deity, the robe has no empress-like qualities, nor is the coiffure embellished with ornaments.
