An ivory netsuke of a standing hunchbacked Hotei in a loose robe with a crouching karako in front of him who tries unsuccessfully to reach for the tama in Hotei's raised hand. Signed Ogasawara in an irregular reserve. Chipped around the cord holes. 18th century.
