Horses in a Landscape Shepherd with his Flock

The present pair of attractive images display particular similarity to two small panels sold by Sotheby's Amsterdam in 2004 (7. - 8.9.2004, lot 1225). There, they were attributed to Dirck van Bergen, but were then recognised as works of Pieter van Bloemen by Marijke de Kinkelder of the RKD in The Hague. They are also close in style to a further small-format work by Bloemen in the Nationalmuseum Stockholm (inv. no. NM 335).
