A Berlin KPM porcelain vase with floral chinoiserie decor

Blue sceptre mark, red imperial orb mark, painter's marks. Minimal glaze chip to one corner of the base. H 22.5 cm.
After 1939, modelled by Trude Petri, decor designed by Else Möckel.

The porcelain painter Else Möckel and the sculptress and designer Trude Petri began cooperating in the 1930s. They had their first great success with the Urbino service, which Möckel decorated with lily motifs. Both artists received the Grand Prix at the Paris World Fair in 1937.
