An extensive Berlin KPM porcelain service with pastoral scenes

Decorated with mosaic pattern border and flowers in puce. Comprising one large coffee pot and two smaller jugs, slop bowl, sugar box, six trembleuse cups, and eight teacups, all with saucers. Blue sceptre mark, various impressed and incised marks. The handle of one of the smaller vessels restored, handle of one trembleuse reattached. H of coffee pot 25.8, D of slop bowl 17 cm.
Circa 1768.

Some of the scenes depicted in this service derive from Francesco Zuccarelli's "Paysages", published in 1762, and are here reproduced in polychromy inspired by the style of Meissen.
